Malandrino

Props to Catherine Malandrino for taking us around the world in record time – no passport necessary.

This season, the Malandrino collection was divvied up into four categories: Sudanese clans, Saharan nomads, Peruvian tribes and Polynesian natives.

But let’s set the nomadic vibe aside and focus on what really matters: the clothes. There was a chic black jumpsuit paired up with a cropped, laser-cut black leather jacket, frocks in solid, rich emerald and magenta tones, colorful rosette appliques that appeared both as sewn-on bib necklaces and as statement-making hairpieces, pleats and drapes aplenty, colorful, beaded vests, cozy-looking harem pants, and piles of statement-making necklaces. In the latter category, we’ve got our eye on the long ones with loads of giant gold flowers strewn on them. Beautiful and wearable. Much like the rest of the collection.
