Cuomo out to hit it big with lottery

Attorney General Andrew Cuomo was headed to Rhode Island to raise money last night at the home of the head of a company that landed a $600 million contract with the New York State Lottery last year, a source told The Post.

The fund-raiser is being hosted by Donald Sweitzer, the head of GTECH, a leading Electronic-gambling company. GTECH last year was awarded a massive contract with the New York State Lottery.

The contract, which lasts seven years and started last month, is for the technical infrastructure of the state lottery system, according to a press release from last year.

Cuomo already has a $13 million war chest that will be extremely difficult for any foe to combat in Cuomo’s not-yet-declared gubernatorial run.
