Hell’s Kitchen killer: I just did it

A steroids-amped moocher charged with slitting the throat of a kindly events planner who’d been letting him stay in his Hell’s Kitchen apartment told cops he tossed a comforter over the corpse because, “I didn’t want him looking at me.”

“I just did it,” Justin Waller, 31, told cops, “I started sticking him with the knife,” he said of victim John Lea, 41, in statements released after he pleaded not guilty of the bloody murder in Lea’s West 46th St. apartment last month.

“He didn’t say anything to me, so I just covered him with the comforter and the pillows,” he said, adding, “Because I didn’t want to look at him. And I didn’t want him looking at me.”

Cops tracked Waller to Vermont after he allegedly used his victim’s credit cards to pay for a limousine ride there.

Questioned in a Manchester, Vt. police station, he quickly admitted the killing, though not before telling cops, “I know what you want because I watch Law and Order all the time … it’s not working.”

Waller is being held without bail in New York and faces a maximum of 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
