Cash bash for Cuomo

Gov. Cuomo is holding a $15,000-a-head Manhattan fund-raiser to raise money for a likely battle with special-interest groups over his soon-to-be-released state budget.

Cuomo — who has vowed not to raise taxes as he tries to cut a massive $10 billion budget gap — has invited deep- pocketed pals to attend a pricey dinner at Top of the Rock in Midtown on Feb. 17.

The funds are technically for his re-election bid — Andrew Cuomo 2014 — but don’t expect the money to be spent on campaign buttons, according to the invite.

“We need your help to enact the change our state so desperately needs,” it reads.

“[Cuomo] will explain the urgency of our efforts to promote his New New York agenda.”

This is the first event Cuomo has scheduled to help fund a planned public-relations blitz to defend his budget strategy, which will include major cuts.
