Lady Gaga planning big-screen debut

After shattering records with 13 MTV Video Music Awards nominations, Lady Gaga has set her sights on bigger screens with a Gaga-centric feature film, British tabloid The News of the World reported Sunday.

A source told the paper that the pop star is planning an epic in the vein of Michael Jackson’s 1988 long-form music movie “Moonwalker” and the 2006 film adaptation of “Dreamgirls,” which starred Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” partner Beyonce.

“X-Men” and “The Usual Suspects” director Bryan Singer is reportedly being discussed as a director for the as-yet-untitled Gaga movie. “She wants to work with the best people in the business,” the source told News of the World.
