The runners-up get Lalaloopsy dolls this week.

So much adversity

“Brianna was born a crack baby. She was premature and she somewhat resembles the ‘Lalaloopsy doll.’ She is being raised by her grandmother and uncle.” — Deborah Viole, for cousin Brianna Good man, 4, Brooklyn

A difficult season

“My husband is ill and lost his job last year and I don’t work, so Christmas last year was very hard and I knew this year would be twice as hard.” — Sarai Dehoyos, for daugh ter Serena Mincey, 5, Manhattan

Mommy’s wish

“I am sharing a room with my husband and my two kids as we wait for housing. Every time she sees the commercials she sings the song and jumps up and down, ‘Mommy, I want Lalaloopsy.’ ”
Je niffer Cruz, for daughter Jolie, 3, Bridgeport, Conn.

Struggling to get by

“We have had a rough couple of years, and my kids have been amazing through it all. My husband has been laid off for months now and the five of us are living off my salary from Stewart’s Ice Cream Shop.” — Kimberly Mason, for daughter Brooklyn Mason, 5, Pough keepsie

A doll to teach hugs

“She suffers from cerebral palsy and is unable to speak or walk, however she has the ability to understand and love like every other child her age. Her therapist believes that using a doll would teach her to hold, hug, feed, love and caress.” — Shyneeque Santiago for daughter Alyeah Dash, 5, Staten Island

Helping her heal

“I was laid off from Macy’s last March. My great-niece asked for this doll. On Nov. 29 she is going for surgery to remove what doctors fear can lead to skin cancer.” — John Messo, for great-niece Gio vanna Hansen, 6, Staten Island
