Jason Kidd seems just fine as he joins wife Porschla (right) in the Hamptons Saturday night. But hours later, he drunkenly smashed his SUV (left, yesterday) police say. (

He was so blitzed, he didn’t even know he’d just slammed his SUV into a telephone pole going 60 mph, authorities say.

New Knick point guard Jason Kidd “smelled strongly of an alcoholic beverage, he had slurred speech, [was] very unsteady afoot and had bloodshot, watery and glassy eyes” when cops found him sitting in his bashed-in Cadillac Escalade on a Hamptons road early Sunday, according to a criminal complaint.

“Defendant did not know what had happened in accident,” the complaint added.

“I had a few drinks,’’ the allegedly blotto b-baller told cops.

Kidd, 39 — who suffered only minor injuries — had been sitting for up to 45 minutes in the smashed silver 2010 SUV in the woods along the Water Mill road after snapping the utility pole in two and hitting several trees.

A passer-by finally spotted the wreckage and called cops.

Southampton Police Chief William Wilson said, “We had to be careful [at the scene] because there were live wires from the downed pole.”

While Kidd — who just signed a three-year, $9.5 million deal with the Knicks — was busted for DWI, a source close to him said he is not going into rehab and “he hasn’t been given any dressing-down by the team.’’

“This incident won’t have an impact on his contract,’’ a Knick source told The Post. “This isn’t the first time in sports a player under contract has got a DWI.” Still, “the organization will have a conversation with him about this.”

Kidd had started out Saturday night partying with wife, Porschla Coleman, 28. The couple attended a charity event — then Kidd kicked things into high gear when he and Coleman hit the nearby hot spot SL East.

“Jason was partying on the couches, screaming at the DJ, singing,” a witness said.

The fuming Coleman eventually dragged Kidd out of the club. She drove them both home — but she couldn’t keep him there.

He took off in the SUV and crashed.

Kidd hunkered down in his mansion yesterday, getting food delivered from his favorite diner.

He canceled an appearance at a a celebrity charity golf event in Jersey City.
