He allowed seven runs on nine hits over seven innings, while striking out only three, in the 7-0 loss. He has not faced the Nationals this season, but is 2-0 with a 3.42 ERA in four career starts against them.
NATIONALS: Detwiler, who has been moved in and out of Washington’s rotation all season, has not collected a win since June 5. Over his last three starts, he has allowed seven runs on 20 hits over 16 2⁄3 innings and a 3.78 ERA. He has beaten the Mets twice this season and is 3-1 with a 3.60 ERA in seven career appearances (four starts) against them.
