Campaign finance reports show state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman raised nearly $1.1 million from donations during the past six months in office.
The Manhattan Democrat’s filings at the state Board of Elections show he spent almost $245,000 during the first half of 2012, including more than $100,000 to two firms for fundraising services. He has nearly $1.7 million on hand afterward.
Schneiderman, a former state senator, was elected to a four-year term as the state’s top lawyer in 2010, beating Republican Dan Donovan, the Staten Island district attorney.
Big donations include $25,000 each from philanthropist Bernard Schwartz and investor David Einhorn, both of Manhattan; the New York State Correctional Officers & Police Benevolent Association; New York State Pipe Trades PAC and Industry Fund LLC of Manhattan.
