Thug accused in Bronx robbery spree refused bail

A thug who preyed on four women in their Bronx building elevators and hallways was refused bail today by a tough talking judge who told him that if he’s convicted, he’ll probably die in jail.

Pablo Gomez, 32, was indicted on more than 30 counts of robbery, criminal possession of stolen property and a battery of other charges for his two week knife point robbery spree — which included an attack on a 25 year old mother clutching her 3 year old daughter.

The petty thief, who usually snatched gold chains and purses, was busted in Pennsylvania shortly after the NYPD released a surveillance video of one of the elevator attacks.

None of his victims was physically hurt.

Gomez, who according to Assistant DA Debra Guarnieri has an extensive robbery record, pleaded not guilty before State Supreme Court Justice Margaret Clancy, who said, “If convicted, any possible sentence will exceed the balance of his life expectancy.”

Gomez faces up to 25 years in prison for each robbery.
