The fourth time was a charm.

A Manhattan thief made off with nearly $3,000 during his fourth bank job after failing to score in three earlier attempts, police sources said yesterday.

The suspect began his two-hour crime spree by passing a demand note to a teller at a Chase branch on Park Avenue South at 9 a.m. Monday.

He fled without cash. A half-hour later, he tried to rob a TD Bank on West 26th, but again left emptyhanded. Shortly thereafter, he attempted to knock off a Citibank on Canal Street, but he blew it once again.

Minutes later, he finally had success at a Chase Bank on The Bowery, making off with $2,800.

Cops are looking for the gun-toting thug who shot a man in Harlem yesterday, authorities said.

The victim was walking down Morningside Avenue near West 123rd Street at 2:45 a.m. when the hood approached, shot him in the chest and fled, cops said.

The victim was rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital in stable condition, cops added. The shooter is described as a 20-year-old black man, 5-foot-9, 150 pounds and wearing a blue hoodie, police said.

It’s unclear what sparked the gunplay.

The Bronx

A 20-year-old man was shot dead as he walked to a South Bronx bodega, police sources said.

Christopher Bynum had just said goodbye to his girlfriend and was heading to the deli on Westchester Avenue near Jackson Avenue at 11:56 p.m. Monday when his gal pal and cops patrolling the surrounding area heard 10 shots ring out, the sources added.

Officers rushed to the scene to find Bynum dead from a gunshot wound to the face.

The motive for the shooting is unclear and no arrests have been made. Bynum had a sealed arrest history, the sources said.

A man shot in the hallway of a South Bronx building last week has died from his wounds, police said yesterday.

Doneil White, 28, of 700 Westchester Ave., was blasted several times on the seventh floor of 152 E. 152nd St. near Concord Avenue at about 2 a.m. Thursday, cops said.

White was taken to Lincoln Hospital and died Sunday from his wounds, cops added.

He had previously been busted for drugs, sources said.

Staten Island

A wild house party in Westerleigh ended with two people arrested and 22 summonses issued to partygoers ranging in age from 15 to 20, authorities said.

The boisterous soiree on Willard Avenue drew the ire of neighbors at about 9:45 p.m. Monday and cops responded after several 911 calls were placed, authorities added.

Mohammed Othman, 20, was collared for disorderly conduct after refusing to leave the premises and becoming combative with officers, according to court papers.

He repeatedly threatened to “beat the arresting officer’s ass,” cops added. Also placed in cuffs was Adam Zayer, 17, who was being sought for allegedly punching a neighbor on July 24 after he was caught urinating on a lawn.

Police also doled out 21 summonses for disorderly conduct and one for knife possession, said an NYPD spokesman.

Cops are looking for three bungling burglars who attempted to break into a Marine Park home.

The thieves had forced open the rear door of a home on East 29th Street near Avenue S at about 2:20 p.m. Friday when the alarm sounded, cops said.

The spooked perpetrators fled down the back stairwell empty-handed, cops added. They were seen zooming away in a gray four-door sedan.

It’s supposed to melt in your mouth, not in your pants.

A thief tried to steal six chocolate bars from a pharmacy in Sheepshead Bay by shoving them down his trousers, authorities said.

Giorgi Lomsadze, 33, allegedly snatched the snacks from a Rite Aid on Avenue U at about 4:20 p.m. Monday but was spotted by a security guard.

Lomsadze broke a security sensor trying to escape, but a guard managed to recover $26 worth of candy bars and hold the suspect until police arrived, authorities added.
