Stars’ binge confession

Moderation has gone the way of rabbit ears.

The latest craze in Hollywood is all-out bingeing — for hours, even days at a time — on TV!

Pressed for time— and often fearful they’ve missed out on the next “Mad Men” or “Homeland” — television stars are holing up at home, playing catch-up on entire seasons of popular shows.

“I did that with ‘The Killing,’ ” former “Sopranos” star Jamie Lynn Sigler tells The Post. “I bought them all on iTunes and watched them all in two days.”

The trend can be traced back several years to when cable stations began broadcasting day-long marathons of shows like ”Monk” and ”Law & Order.

Now with Hulu, Netflix and hundreds of other ways to consume programming on-demand, it is becoming impossible for some to resist the urge to indulge.

“What can happen is you get a buzz about a show you haven’t seen and you start to watch it — then you want to watch all of the episodes,” says “NCIS” producer Shane Brennan.

“If we are doing our job properly, you should be compelled to watch it. Anything that hooks people in is a good thing.”

Now, even the people who program television networks are getting in on the action.

“I was just a binge watcher,” CBS Programming chief Nina Tassler admits. “I just watched the last season of ‘Breaking Bad.’ I did that with my son. I normally wouldn’t have done that, but that is how he watches television. He is 24.”

Of course, not everyone is down with over-indulging.

“I don’t like the advent of bingeing because you look up and nine hours of your day is gone,” says “Mike and Molly” star Billy Gardell.

“I watched ‘Lost’ in about a week. I was flying back and forth to gigs, and I just went on that train forever.

“The ones I love, I try to savor. But I like watching them in real time. I am a real-time guy.”

Here are a few more stars who admit to benders in front of the box:

Pamela Anderson
(“Dancing With the Stars”)

I watched “Smash.” I love that whole world. I love Broadway.

Leah Remini (“The Family Tools”)

“I do that with my daughter. We watch ‘The Real Housewives.’ She likes New York. I fast forward certain parts because I don’t want her to hear or see certain things.”

Janet Montgomery (“Maid In Jersey”)

“‘Ally McBeal.’ I watched all five [seasons]. I like how the character grew and you got invested in the show.

Emmy Rossum (“Shameless”)

“I once did it with a full season of ‘24.’ I watched all the episodes in a full day. It is more like greed. You can have it all when you want it.”
