No lower bail for wife of alleged tix-fix cop

She stood by her man — and now she’s going to remain in jail with him.

An attempt to lower the bail for Wanda Abreu – who was indicted with her accused Bronx ticket-fixing NYPD husband Jose Ramos in an alleged murder for hire plot — was flatly rejected by a Bronx judge today.

Unable to meet a $100,000 cash bail on conspiracy to commit murder, her lawyer, Sandra Marte, said, “My client never met with a hit man… no money was ever transferred by my client, my client never made any arrangements with anyone.”

Assistant DA Omer Wiczyk bristled at the claim that Abreu was not involved in a plot to kill a key witness in the ticket-fixing case against her husband. Ramos faces dozens of charges including attempted robbery and drug dealing, and remains behind bars without bail after they’re July 12 indictment.

“The only reason she didn’t give the money over is because she learned she was being recorded,” he said.

State Supreme Court Justice Steven Barrett refused to reduce the bail until he read the grand jury minutes.

“I do not believe there is anything you said is so meaningful to merit a reduction of bail, at this point,” the judge said.
