Stevie Wonder files for divorce

She’s no longer his “Cherie Amour.”

Stevie Wonder has filed for divorce from wife Kai Millard Morris.

In divorce documents obtained by TMZ, Wonder cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. According to the papers, Wonder and his wife have been separated since October 2009.

The music icon filed the divorce papers using his legal name, Stevland Morris, and signed with two fingerprints.

Wonder asks for joint custody of the couple’s two boys, ages 10 and 7, in the legal documents. He also agrees to pay both spousal and child support.

Although the papers indicate the amount has yet to be determined, Wonder will split some of his assets with Morris despite amassing most of his fortune before his 2001 marriage.
