METS: Niese snapped a four-start winless streak on Wednesday, allowing one run on three hits in seven innings in a 2-1 victory over the Giants. He has allowed two earned runs in 13 innings against Miami in two no-decisions this season and is 1-4 with a 4.47 ERA in eight career starts against the Marlins.

MARLINS: After spending July in the Miami bullpen, LeBlanc got no decision in his first start of the season on Wednesday, allowing one run on five hits in 41⁄2 innings in a 4-2 win over the Braves. He is 0-1 with a 3.18 ERA in two career starts against the Mets.

METS: Mike Baxter, who walked in all five of his plate appearances on Saturday, set a franchise record for most bases on balls in a nine-inning game.
