8:30 a.m. – Former Jets quarterback Boomer Esiason takes a shot at Tebow during his morning radio show: “I’m just telling you right now, I would [cut him], and I’ll tell you why I would. It’s not in any way, shape or form benefitting this team.”

10:01 a.m. – Rex Ryan on Tebow: “I have not been disappointed with Tim at all … once you go to a live situation, that’s gonna elevate his play.”

10:57 a.m. – Sign of the day: “Tebow, Here’s my number, so ‘Call me baby.’ ”

11 a.m. – Hot Tamale, a Cortland Tex-Mex restaurant, has a new item on its menu: the Tebow Burrito.

11:37 a.m. – Tebow hits Eron Riley deep down the left sideline, but a flag nullifies an over-30-yard completion.

11:39 a.m. – Tebow gets heckled when he holds the ball and eventually gets sacked. A fan shouts, “Where are you going?” That is followed by some light booing.

11:45 a.m. – Tebow plays peacemaker during the melee during practice, jumping in and pulling people off the pile after running back Joe McKnight and defensive back D’Anton Lynn go crashing through the signage on the sidelines.

11:50 a.m. – Rookie Stephen Hill drops a bomb down the right sideline from Tebow, much to the crowd’s dismay. As he jogs back to the huddle a fan yells out, “You’re making Tebow look bad.”

11:58 a.m. – Tebow gets sacked three times in one series.

12:30 p.m. – Antonio Cromartie drops what should have been an interception on an attempted slant pass by Tebow.

12:35 p.m. – Aaron Maybin flies in and combines for a “sack” on Tebow — the sixth and final one of the day. As he celebrates after the play, he yells out,

“The Holy Ghost can’t save you!”

12:45 p.m. – Practice ends. Tebow winds up 3-for-8 with six sacks in team drills, while Mark Sanchez finished 5-for-11 with three sacks.

1:20 p.m – Tebow on Esiason’s comments: “I’ve heard nothing but great things about Mr. Esiason. I know he was a great player here, and I just wish him nothing but the best in his announcing and God bless him.”
