A 36-year-old man jumped to his death from the George Washington Bridge earlier this evening, authorities said.
The man, who was not immediately identified pending family notification, was spotted by a security guard at 6:45 p.m. at the base of the New York tower just moments after the plunge, said a Port Authority spokesman.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
