Will Jews be bam-boozled?

The Issue: The White House’s recent positions on Israel and the Middle East.

I totally agree with Arthur Herman’s article, although I think he understated the problem (“O’s Israel Reversal,” Post-Opinion, Aug. 6).

If Obama is re-elected, I, as a Jew, fear greatly for the safety of Israel.

I cannot understand how any Jew could not only endorse him but support him with massive contributions, including his big-time benefactors in Hollywood.

I think most of them are gullible, stupid and fearful of retribution.

If Iran wipes out Israel with a nuclear weapon on Obama’s watch, what do you think will happen to the world’s remaining Jews?

Consider the rising tide of anti-Semitism in the last few years all over the world while Obama has been in office. Coincidence? Perhaps.

Necessity is the mother of invention, and it is now necessary for Obama to bamboozle Jewish voters into supporting him one more time.

He is inventing a backstory claiming that he has been Israel’s strongest supporter in history, a patent fabrication obvious to all informed voters.

Will he still win the majority of Jewish votes? Of course. But if the falloff in Jewish support is significant, his effort for a second term may be weakened.
