Starr Report

It’s getting tougher and tougher to ignore the inroads YouTube is making in the TV end of things, considering they’ve now launched something like 867 channels encompassing all aspects of life as we know it — and then some.

To whit, actor Peter Sarsgaard (“Green Lantern,” “Jarhead”) will appear today on The Reserve Channel show, “Be Well Weekend with Dr. Frank Lipman,” to talk about how he worked with Lipman — founder and director of New York City’s Eleven-Eleven Wellness Center — to find a way to balance a healthy lifestyle with his frenzied Hollywood career. He’ll also share some recipes. (Go to youtube.com/reservechannel).

Meanwhile, the extremely talented actress/comedienne Catherine O’Hara — best known as one of Christopher Guest’s comedic ensemble (“Best in Show,” “A Mighty Wind,” “Waiting for Guffman,” “For Your Consideration”) — has a new series on YouTube’s WIGS channel called “Leslie” (youtube.com/wigs). The two-episode series, launching this Monday, Aug. 20, was written and directed by Mitch Albom (“Tuesdays with Morrie”) and features O’Hara as an aspiring actress vying for the role of Mother Theresa (with a twist). The second episode will stream on Wednesday, Aug. 22.

The following Monday, Aug. 27, will see the launch of “Rochelle,” a three-episode series, also on WIGS, written by and starring — well, I can’t tell you right now. But it’s A-list talent, trust me. I’m sworn to secrecy on that one, or else I run the risk of being harassed by the “embargo police” (or a feisty publicist, which could be worse).

More to follow in a few days.
