JOHN DaSILVA

TODAY’S PLAY: In the sixth race, Nick Canani has a strong entry with Kitten’s Kid and King David, who is first on the also eligible list. Then play a $5 double of the Canani entry and Coach A.J. Total bet: $50.

MONDAY’S RESULTS:
Jimmy
Simms wired the field and Midnite Silver chased him all around the track and held well to be second. We had a $27.60 exacta for $10. After scratches, profit of $108 on the day.

BANKROLL: $1,843.50

VIC CANGIALOSI

TODAY’S PLAY: In the long history of the showdown we have never had two good days in a row. We’ll try. Lay $30 to win on “Meet the M-E-T-S Mets” in the opener. Then $20 to win on Vicki’s Dancer in the third. Total bet: $50.

MONDAY’S RESULTS: Cashed the $18.60 double of Mineswept and Rangey 10 times for a $186 payoff. Flat Bold got us out of our seat at 23-1 but flattened out in stretch. Profit of $136.

BANKROLL: $1,620.

ED FOUNTAINE

TODAY’S PLAY: In the fourth race (turf only), $30 win, $20 place on Sylvestris. Total bet: $50.

MONDAY’S RESULTS: In the second race, Mineswept ($20 win) won paying $6.30; in the ninth, Little Drama ($12 win) won paying $4.50; in the 10th, Grand Rapport ($12 win) won paying $5.40; we also had the $10.40 late double three times; profit of $103.60 on the day.

ANTHONY AFFRUNTI

TODAY’S PLAY: Put $15 to win on Sylvestris in the fourth race and $35 to win on Coach A.J. in the seventh race. Total bet: $50.

MONDAY’S RESULTS: Everything was going great until the last few days. Starting to feel like Rodney Dangerfield, and my picks are running like him. Cap the Moment was close to the pace, instead of making a run late, and was done. The tri try in the seventh missed the needed third leg, and Praise Band went missing in the stretch in the eighth. Lost $50 again.

BANKROLL: $1,950.35
