Nicki: ‘Idol’ judge?

Nicki Minaj may be joining Mariah Carey at the “American Idol” judges’ table.

Us Weekly reported yesterday that the “Starships” singer is in the final stages of closing a deal for the singing-competition show.

“I’m not sure the deal is completely done yet, but yes, she is definitely doing it,” one source told the magazine. “A few more slight things to sign off on, but it is happening.”

A second unnamed source said Minaj is “100 percent confirmed to judge ‘American Idol.’ ”

So far, the only confirmed judge for Season 12, which premieres in January, is Carey.

There is a chance that the “Idol” judges’ table could have all new faces this season. The only remaining original judge, Randy Jackson, is rumored to be moving into a mentoring role on the show, leaving his spot open.

Pop star Nick Jonas confirmed on Twitter earlier this month that he is being considered for the gig.

“The rumors are true . . . I am being considered to be a judge on ‘American Idol,’ and it would be a dream come true if it happens,” he tweeted.

Enrique Iglesias and Keith Urban have also been said to be under consideration.

Former judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler announced last month that they will not return to “Idol.”

Fox had no comment.
