STREET SMARTS: Time flies! This is the last weekend of Summer Streets 2012, when sections of Park Avenue and Lafayette Street between Central Park and the Brooklyn Bridge are closed off for family fun. Whether you walk, bike or run along the route, you’ll find everything from free performances by Bash the Trash to open play areas, arts and crafts and more. 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., free. Check nyc.gov/summerstreets for a map.

ALL THAT JAZZ: “Boardwalk Empire” fans can get their fill of 1920s styles and sounds at the Jazz Age Lawn Party on Governors Island, where dancers of all ages can learn the Charleston to live music by Michael Arenella & His Dreamland Orchestra. (Or try a tug-of-war contest). Don’t forget to dress up! Today and tomorrow, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., $15 (free for kids under 12). Governors Island, ferry at the Battery Maritime Building, 10 South St.; 212-440-2200, govisland.com
