Ryan’s mama vs. Obama on Medicare

Paul Ryan stood next to his 78-year-old mom yesterday as he slammed President Obama for dismembering Medicare.

“It’s not just a bunch of numbers; it’s what my mom relies on,” the veep candidate said in The Villages, Fla. “Medicare is there for my mom while she needs it now, and we have to keep that guarantee.”

Speaking at the nation’s largest senior community, in a state where Betty Ryan Douglas lives summers, Ryan accused Obama of using $716 billion in Medicare funds as a “piggy bank” for ObamaCare.

He also slipped in a dig at Obama’s economic policies while praising Douglas, who started an interior-decorating firm.

“I’m proud of you for the small business you created,” he said. “And, Mom, you did build that!”
