Gov. Cuomo delivered a policy speech yesterday that sounded more like a keynote address for the Democratic Party: Make government work!
“Government can make your life better. That’s what the last 18 months are all about,” Cuomo said at a conference at the Sheraton New York in Midtown co-sponsored by the state Democratic Committee yesterday.
Cuomo is taking a low key approach and not speaking at the 2012 Democratic convention next month, unlike his dad, Mario Cuomo, who gave the keynote speech at the 1984 convention that catapulted him into the national limelight.
