LiLo dodges ‘heist’ rap

All the finger pointing paid off.

Almost two weeks after Lindsay Lohan was accused of stealing more than $100,000 worth of jewelry and electronic equipment from a Hollywood mansion — and then pointed the finger at rap mogul Suge Knight’s son — authorities walked away without charging anyone.

But she’s not off the hook completely.

Officials are investigating whether her involvement in the alleged theft at a party on Aug. 19 and her role in a June car wreck are violations of her probation.

“We do not have sufficient evidence to prove this [theft] case beyond a reasonable doubt,’’ Deputy District Attorney Deborah L. Kranze wrote in an internal document obtained by The Post yesterday.

The prosecutor also noted the alleged victim, multimillionaire Sam Magid, has had a “long-standing relationship’’ with Lohan, explaining he now denies that anything was stolen and “does not wish to pursue the prosecution of this matter.’’

Among the cast of suspects when Magid first reported he’d been ripped off was Lohan; her assistant, Gavin Doyle; and Andrew Knight (above left), the son of Suge.

TMZ quoted a source as saying Lohan believed Andrew was the real thief and tried to frame her.

Even though nobody was charged, authorities can still launch a probe and recommend Lohan’s probation be overturned, said Robin Sax, former Los Angeles deputy district attorney.

“Because the standard of proof is lower for violation of probation, a judge decides, not a jury,” Sax said.

Meanwhile, Santa Monica police have been reviewing the June 8 collision between Lohan’s rented Porsche and a truck.

At the time of the accident, Lohan claimed her assistant was driving, but police have reason to believe she was behind the wheel, according to the gossip Web site.

“Investigators called Lohan to ask a few questions regarding the accident,’’ Santa Monica police Sgt. Richard Lewis said.

Lohan is on unsupervised probation in a third case — a misdemeanor grand-theft charge in which she pleaded no contest. It stems from the theft of a necklace from a Venice, Calif., jewelry store in January 2011.

Her probation is expected to continue through May 2014.

At only 26, Lohan has a long and public history of tangling with the law.

In 2010, she was suspected of stealing a $35,000 Rolex watch, and in 2008, she was accused of ripping off an $11,000 mink. Both incidents were eventually deemed misunderstandings and she was not charged.

She is now struggling to restart her stalled film career. Most recently she starred as Elizabeth Taylor in a made-for-cable movie, “Liz & Dick,” a biopic about Taylor’s turbulent romance with fellow actor Richard Burton, played by Grant Bowler.
