I love you blue-ly, dear

It’s a Finest love affair!

A husband and wife who met at the Police Academy were promoted together to lieutenant yesterday.

Lt. Michael Deckert, 34, was called up to the stage shortly after 11 a.m. — and his wife, Lt. Tara Deckert, 37, soon joined him.

“They called his name, and they called my name. It didn’t seem real,” said Tara. “The chief said, ‘They’re married, by the way!’ Everyone chuckled.”

They began dating when they were assigned to The Bronx’s 52nd Precinct. The lovebird lieutenants married in 2006, and live in Orange County.

“It’s a big day for our family,” said Michael. “It was definitely a surprise.”

The couple’s boys — Danny, 1; Alex, 3; and Tommy, 8 — watched in the audience with extended family, all sporting NYPD baseball caps.

“We spent a lot of hours studying together” for the lieutenants exam, said Tara. “We have three kids, so it was busy. We work in opposite schedules — we do the kid-swap. We lean on each other a lot. He’s a great support system.”
