Lisa Maria Falcone charged with ‘driving while ability impaired’ in Hamptons crash

The socialite wife of embattled hedge fund billionaire Phil Falcone was arrested for driving while impaired and without a license in the Hamptons on Saturday — as her husband ranted at cops, according to a police report and an eyewitness.

Lisa Falcone, a 48-year-old film producer, had just left Hampton Classic horse show when she made a sharp turn in her Mercedes SUV from Montauk Highway onto Hayground Road in Bridgehampton and rear ended another Mercedes before smashing into a parked Verizon van.

She pleaded with the owner of the Mercedes she hit, Bob Cohen, and Verizon worker Fred Ledermann not to call police “saying her husband would pay for everything,” the witness to The Post.

But her pleas fell on deaf ears as Ledermann called 911.

Minutes later her husband, was is facing civil fraud charges filed by the SEC, arrived at scene and shouted at the cops not to tow her mangled car, but to wait for an official Mercedes dealer, the witness said.

A Southampton Town cop got so fed up with the billionaire’s bellowing, that he ordered him to the side of the road and called for backup, the witness added.

Because she “smelled of alcohol” and was staggering, the officer asked her to take a Breathalyzer, according to a Southampton police report.

She took a blood test with results pending.

From the side of the road, her still simmering husband yelled, “Don’t take it! Don’t take it!’’

When the officer threatened to arrest her because of the refusal, he change his advice to “Take it! Take it!’’ according to the witness.

Despite the bumper-to-bumper traffic, Lisa Falcone told cops she was speeding to escape someone who was chasing her, the police report said.

She told cops that she doesn’t drink but had a lemonade at the event that could have been spiked, according to court papers.

She blew the Breathalyzer with a .06, at the scene, which is less than the legal limit of .08. She also admitted popping Benadryl, an anti-allergy drug, and neurontin for pain, according to the papers.

With her husband looking on, she was put in the back of a police car and taken to the local stationhouse, where she took another Breathalyzer and blew a .03.

She was charged with DWAI (driving while ability impaired) for the drugs and not having a license.

She was sprung four hours later on a desk appearance ticket and arraigned the following morning, where she pleaded not guilty to the violation, according to police.

Philip Falcone refused to comment yesterday morning as he left their $49 million East 68th Street mansion, formerly owned by Penthouse publisher Bob Guccione.

They live there with their twins and the family’s potbellied pig Wilbur.
