New $lap at ousted educator

A Bronx principal removed from her post in March after an investigation determined that she was rigging test scores and inflating attendance records has agreed to pay a $3,500 fine to settle separate ethics violations, authorities reported yesterday.

The Conflicts of Interest Board said Lynn Passarella, deposed principal of the Theatre Arts Production Company School, admitted helping her sister land a job at the school in August 2007 in violation of city regulations.

She also admitted hiring a subordinate in December 2008 for about $60 to prepare food for the school’s Christmas party, another no-no.

Passarella was yanked from the school after investigators found that she passed students who didn’t attend classes, gave credits for sham classes and marked AWOL students as present.
