‘Cop-shooter’ had a hidden arsenal

A Manhattan man accused of trying to gun down two cops in Queens may have had more sinister plans, according to authorities who yesterday discovered a weapons cache in a Yonkers storage unit he rented.

Police sources said it’s not clear if Antonio Olmeda, 53, was planning a mass shooting.

The arsenal included 15 handguns, shotguns, AR-15 rifles 5,000 rounds of ammunition, grenades and smoke bombs, law-enforcement sources said.

Olmeda also allegedly had city maps with Queens police precincts marked off, pictures of the Brooklyn Bridge, fake NYPD shields and ID cards used to get into municipal buildings.

An attorney for Olmeda didn’t return a call.

On Dec. 2 last year, Olmeda, — who was previously convicted of having a flamethrower — shot at two cops in Jackson Heights and fled.

He was caught three weeks later after cops matched his DNA to the fake beard. He is due back in court Sept. 24.

The cache was found by the owner of the storage area because Olmeda had stopped paying rent.

Last December, Olmeda — wearing a fake beard and dark sunglasses — allegedly shot at two cops in Jackson Heights and fled. He was caught after cops matched his DNA to the fake beard. He’s now awaiting trial.

In 1995, he was arrested for possession of a flame-thrower and for building pipe bombs.

Shortly after the 9/11 attacks, he was arrested carrying ammo and bomb-making equipment. He spent 18 months in prison, but denied plotting an attack.
