Blazing a career trail with app

Trying to figure out how to achieve your career objectives? ResumUP will help you visualize your goals and identify who and what you need to know to reach them.

The service uses your education and career history to show you steps you can take to get to your dream job and the knowledge and skills you need to add. ResumUP also identifies people inside and outside your network whom you can reach out to for advice.

Just sign in using Facebook or LinkedIn and ResumUP will import your work history, and education and display that on a horizontal timeline. You can add information like a description of your responsibilities and achievements.

You can also add contact info, your salary requirements and whether you’re willing to travel or relocate.

You can select whether you’re looking for a job currently and, if so, what position and type of work (i.e., full-time, part-time, temp) you want.

You can list general skills (like “rigorous attention to detail”) and job-related ones that are specific to your industry. You can select where you fall on the spectrum of various personality traits. And you can even enter your hobbies and languages you speak.

Once you complete your ResumUP profile, you can download it as a PDF or export your data.

Or, you can click on the “My Career Plan” tab and enter the future job you want. ResumUP then analyzes your data and shows you steps you can take to get to that job.
