WASHINGTON — He ran the most high-tech political campaign in history, but President Obama needs some 411 when it comes to dialing an iPhone.

Obama, a regular BlackBerry user, tried to call two campaign volunteers using an aide’sMarvin Nicholson’s hip iPhone on on Sunday while stumping in Florida, but then got stumped by technology himself.

“It’s not clear he knows how to dial on an iPhone,” wrote a pool reporter, who called Obama “befuddled.” “befuddled”-looking Obama wrote.

“Oh, I got to dial it in. Hold on, hold on. I can do this. See, I still have a BlackBerry,” Obama explained while a volunteer gave him instructions.

As Obama, who got his iPad personally from Apple founder Steve Jobs, struggled more, a volunteer yelled, out“I’ll give you my phone, call my wife.”

Obama shot back, “I’ll call her and tell her that you’re messing around here . . . in the office, giving the president . . .”

For his second call, Obama was handed a predialed phone (pictured), said the pool report.
