‘White Glove Bandit’ pleads guilty to bank robberies

It turns out his gun was as cheap as his gloves.

A stick-up artist dubbed the “White Glove Bandit” pleaded guilty today to a spree of bank robberies on the Lower East Side.

Michael McManus, 43, earned his nickname by wearing white latex gloves during each of the four heists he pulled off earlier this year.

The Manhattan U.S. Attorney’s Office also revealed yesterday that the pistol he wielded during the hold-ups — which netted about $32,000 — was nothing more than a cap gun.

McManus pleaded guilty to a four-count indictment without striking a deal with prosecutors, who say he should face up to 15-plus years in the slammer under sentencing guidelines.
