J.Crew

With super saturated colors, florals, stripes and playful combinations of both, all done with a tomboy slant, J.Crew continued its reign over accessible fashion. At the brand’s Lincoln Center presentation, creative director and hero to fashion girls everywhere, Jenna Lyons was the personification of the brand, wearing wide leg green floral pants and a striped blue top. She excused herself from interviews to walk pal Solange Knowles through the collection, which was the cause of much gushing from nearly every editor in the room (many of whom were wearing J.Crew).

Sparkly embellishments were seen in everything from skinny, squared off neck ties to shell tops and classic, oxford button downs. Electric pink was worked into an oversized Houndstooth and Hawaiian floral skirts, while softer pinks were whipped into graphic sweaters. A voluminous cobalt blue gown and a simple electric yellow silk shirt dress were evidence that not everything had to be overly styled. And they hit a home run with the casual, boyish touches, like a hot pink baseball cap paired with a white sequins skirt, proving once again, that the unexpected can yield beautiful success.
