‘Bash’ful linen king gets slide

Millionaire “Linen King’’ George Bardwil allegedly bashed his ex-wife’s head into the sidewalk, requiring staples to close the wound — but it still didn’t amount to a “serious physical injury,’’ a judge ruled yesterday.

In dismissing a charge of attempted first-degree assault against Bardwi — the owner of Bardwil Home, who had faced a maximum 15 years in prison for the rap — a Manhattan Criminal Court judge wrote there wasn’t enough proof the suspect’s beautiful young ex had been hurt badly enough.

“The evidence concerning the first count was legally insufficient to establish that the victim’s injuries fell within the definition of serious physical injury,” wrote Supreme Court Justice Richard Carruthers.

Bardwil, 60, remains charged in the incident with second-degree assault, which carries a sentence of up to seven years in prison.

Prosecutors say Barwil threw ex Emiko Bardwil, 26, to the ground and smashed her head into the sidewalk as they fought outside his posh East 51st Street apartment in May.

The victim needed staples to close the cut to her head, prosecutors have said.

“We’re gratified that the [first-degree-assault] charge has been dismissed,” said Bardwil lawyer Michael Bachner yesterday.

George Bardwil, asked if he was happy with the judge’s ruling after court, smiled slightly and shrugged, saying, “Happier.”

Emiko declined comment to The Post by phone yesterday.

The judge scheduled a possible plea disposition Nov. 14.
