The bank crook pictured at right knocked off branches in Midtown and Gramercy, cops said.

He first targeted the Sovereign branch on Park Avenue South near East 21st Street shortly before 2 p.m. on Aug. 28, passing a demand note and making off with almost $1,150, cops said.

He then hit twice on Sept. 4, first striking just before 10 a.m. at the Marathon branch on Fifth Avenue near 29th Street but fleeing empty-handed when the teller balked.

He tried his luck again an hour later, scoring $1,700 from the Chase branch on East 23rd Street, cops said.

In his most recent heist, he waltzed into the Citibank branch on Broadway near 56th Street shortly before 11 a.m. Thursday and shouted at a teller, “If you don’t give me the money, I’ll shoot you right away!”

He indicated that he had a gun in his pocket, and ran off with $2,620, cops added.

A man from Westchester leaped to his death onto the FDR Drive yesterday morning, cops said.

The 30-year-old man, whose name was not released pending family notification, jumped shortly before 7:45 a.m. from Sutton Place Park on East 56th Street onto the roadway.

The victim hailed from Larchmont, and worked as a small-time actor.

A shooting victim miraculously being survived being hit nine times when gunfire erupted at a Harlem party, law-enforcement sources said.

The 30-year-old victim clashed with a partygoer shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday at an apartment on 111th Street between Lenox and Fifth avenues, sources said.

The squabble spilled out onto the street, where the gunman pulled a 9mm semi-automatic and began blasting away.

When the victim fell to the ground, the assailant stood over him and pumped eight bullets into his leg and torso, sources added.

The victim had 18 bullet wounds — entry and exit wounds — and was rushed to a hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

The suspect remains on the lam.

It wasn’t immediately clear what spurred the fight that led to gunplay.

Two thugs posing as uniformed Con Ed workers viciously attacked a tenant during a home-invasion robbery in Fordham, police sources said yesterday.

The suspects, wearing yellow vests and hardhats, rang the doorbell of a third-floor apartment on Morris Avenue near East 184th Street at 11:15 a.m. Thursday.

They pistol-whipped the 55-year-old tenant when he answered the door and swiped jewelry and $300 in cash from his bedroom.

The victim suffered a minor head cut.

The body of a man was found floating near City Island yesterday, cops said.

The corpse was spotted bobbing in the currents of Eastchester Bay just off City Island Avenue near Earley Street at 11:05 a.m., authorities said.

The medical examiner is working to identify the body and determine the cause of death.

An elderly man jumped to his death in front of a No. 7 train yesterday in an apparent suicide in Sunnyside, cops said.

The man, whose identity wasn’t immediately released, leaped in front of the Flushing-bound train at the 52nd Street station near Roosevelt Avenue at about 1:30 p.m., authorities said.

Cops are looking for the hapless bank robber (above) who met with failure at a Kensington branch, police said.

The thug walked into the Citibank branch on Flatbush Avenue near Church Avenue shortly before 6 p.m. on Sep. 7 and demanded cash from a teller, authorities said.

But when the teller balked, the crook — who has a chipped and discolored tooth — fled.

Two gun-toting thieves swiped several pairs of footwear and $900 in cash from a Brownsville sneaker store, police sources said yesterday.

The bandits were browsing in the City Lite store on Belmont Avenue near Osborn Street at 3:40 p.m. Thursday when they pulled guns and announced a robbery.

They fled with money and merchandise, police sources said.

No one was injured, the sources said.
