Video shows ambassador’s body after attack on US Embassy in Libya

Grainy video has emerged of Ambassador Christopher Stevens, as his motionless body was apparently removed through a window of the American embassy in Benghazi, Libya.

The shaky-camera footage, posted on YouTube, purportedly captures the wild scene outside the Benghazi mission, as locals removed the slain diplomat’s body last week.

WARNING: GRAPHIC VIDEO

The rocket attack that killed Stevens happened after 10 p.m. last Tuesday, so the darkness and smoke made footage difficult to decipher.

Locals were screaming as they removed Stevens through a long narrow window. It appeared Stevens had on a torn white T-shirt that witnesses and other photographs have shown he was wearing at the time of his death.

One of the bystanders can be seen putting hands on Stevens’ neck, apparently checking for a pulse.

Stevens, 52, was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. His remains arrived back in the United States on Friday, where President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton eulogized the beloved diplomat at Andrews Air Force Base.
