A 28-year-old man is dead after crashing his car head-on into a Yonkers police cruiser.
Two officers were injured in the collision early Saturday.
Relatives of Brandon Turner tell 1010 WINS radio that Turner had been drinking at a cousin’s wedding when he got behind the wheel of his Honda Civic to head home.
His sister tells the radio station that family members feel guilty that they did not stop him.
Authorities said that they tried to pull Turner over but he sped off and collided head-on with a Yonkers police car.
The two officers are in serious condition and remain hospitalized. Both underwent surgery Saturday.
