The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep,2007

Sunday, 4 p.m., WWOR

A kind of every man’s (or make that every kid’s) “Pan’s Labyrinth” meets “ET,” this is a tale of Angus (Alex Etela), a lonely boy who, during WWII, around Loch Ness, Scotland, finds and brings home a large egg that has washed ashore. The egg hatches and begins to grow, under the boy’s nurturing care, into the legendary sea creature. The film is an allegory about love at the time when the globe was at war and teetering on destruction. Simply fantastic!
