NYPD searches for gay-bashing thug in razor attack at violence-plagued McDonald’s

Cops are on the hunt for a gay-bashing thug who slashed a McDonald’s customer with a razor blade in Greenwich Village— and at the same troubled spot where a cashier was caught on camera bashing two disorderly women who hopped the counter and threatened him last year.

The 22-year-old victim was with his significant other at the Mickey D’s on West 3rd Street, near Sixth Avenue, about 8 p.m. Wednesday, when a heavyset man made homophobic comments, police sources said.

The two began arguing, and the assailant pulled out a razor blade, slashing the man in the face, back, neck, and elbow, cops said. He then fled the scene. Police are looking for a man in his late thirties, who weighs between 300 and 350 pounds. The suspect is between 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-10, cops added.

The victim was treated at Bellevue Hospital, where he received stitches.

City Council Speaker Christine Quinn called on West Village residents in March to boycott the eatery until it hired off-duty NYPD cops for security, after several brawls there in the spring.

Last October, employee Rayon McIntosh struck two women with a metal rod after they tried to attack him, authorities said. He was cleared after a grand jury ruled he acted in self-defense. The customers were indicted on burglary charges.
