2nd bust in political espio-not

A second Staten Island teen was charged with criminal mischief after confessing to throwing rocks through windows at Rep. Michael Grimm’s campaign headquarters, authorities said yesterday.

Avery Gerena, 16, told authorities he was with a 14-year-old pal Saturday night on Hylan Boulevard when the younger boy suggested smashing the windows of what they believed was an empty car dealership, a criminal complaint said.

“I took a big rock and threw it through the window,” said Gerena, according to the complaint.

“We went back and I saw the banner that said it was Michael Grimm’s campaign office.”

Gerena was released without bail after appearing in Staten Island Criminal Court. His buddy’s case is being handled in Family Court.

Grimm at first claimed the vandalism was “politically motivated” before the boys confessed. Cops are still investigating his claims that computer hard drives at the HQ were erased.
