WATCH: Helmet cam captures moments after soldier injured in Afghanistan

Stunning helmet-camera video — purportedly shot by a US Soldier as he was wounded in a firefight with Afghan insurgents — has brought the war home to computers around the world.

Posted on YouTube under the handle “Funker530,” the footage shows the American fighting man navigating a rocky hillside terrain when bullets suddenly begin to fly.

The soldier could be heard a dozens times, screaming in agony: “I’m hit!”

The man’s face in never shown. You can see his gloved hands and his weapon — which is briefly dropped after he’s first hit by gunfire.

Despite being hit four times, the soldier in this video made it out alive.

“This footage is to be taken as a documentary on the events of the war in Afghanistan and should be viewed as educational,” the YouTube poster wrote.

“This footage is not meant to glorify war or violence.”
