An accident on a Bronx highway this morning claimed the life of one woman and left another person in serious condition, authorities said.
A 20-year-old man driving a Jeep Wrangler southbound on the Hutchinson Parkway lost control and crashed into a guardrail at 5:55 a.m., police said.
The SUV ricocheted off the guardrail and then collided with a Ford Contour, that was also headed southbound near I-95, cops said.
The 50-year-old female driver of the Ford died at the scene of the accident, police said. The male Jeep driver was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition, cops said.
Police do not suspect any criminality.
