Wishing we weren’t awake: Jackson’s pushy profanity

The Issue: A viral video in which actor Samuel L. Jackson uses expletives to endorse President Obama.

***

In a YouTube ad, Hollywood heavyweight Samuel L. Jackson tells voters to “Wake the f— up! Vote for Obama!” (“Samuel L’s Not Effin’ Kidding!” Sept. 27).

I find his particular choice of words highly offensive.

I’m already very much awake.

Given that President Obama has overspent revenues by $5 trillion in his abbreviated term — more than the accrued debt of the first 42 presidents combined — can you imagine the irreversible damage he could do in office without the worry of re-election?

To all the undecided voters, to paraphrase Jackson, “Wake the f— up! Vote for Romney!”

The prospect of an ad like this makes me sick.

Have we as a nation been brought so low that we are willing to promote our presidential office in such a debased way? Bill Williams

I always thought Jackson was a great actor.

He joins a long line of actors whose films I will never see again, including Matt Damon, Alec Baldwin, Danny Glover, Morgan Freeman and others who think that because they are famous, we care at all what their politics are.

No one will ever convince me that there is no difference morally between Democrats and Republicans.

After reading about the profanity-filled rants by airhead liberal darling Madonna praising the president, we get another dose of trash-laced gibberish from Obama worshipper Jackson, cursing like a thug in front of a young girl. He’s all class.

You bet there’s a morality divide. This kind of gutter support would not be accepted or tolerated on the right but only on the low-rent left.
