Thugs assault, rob deacon in basement of B’klyn church

Have they no soul? Two heartless thugs pummeled and robbed a deacon in a Brooklyn church, police sources said.

The 36-year-old victim was in the basement of the Glover Memorial Baptist Church in Brownsville about 2 p.m. Tuesday when a crook asked him for money, cops said.

When the deacon said no, the goon hit him in the face and back with a chair, sources said.

His accomplice took the man’s wallet and bag, making off with a laptop, $54 in cash, and a Samsung cell phone, sources added.

A relative said he was doing okay after the vicious attack.

The first suspect is in his late teens, approximately 5-foot-8, and has a skull tattoo on the right side of his neck, police said. He wore a red baseball hat with a bird symbol on it during the attack, as well as a red hooded sweatshirt.

The other thief is also in his late teens, about 5-foot-7, and wore a black hooded sweater and sweatpants, cops said.
