Browns center’s bloody pants spark concern

Browns center Alex Mack became the subject of internet speculation during Thursday’s game against the Ravens – after cameras showed blood on the back of his pants, seemingly coming from inopportune places.

The situation, first reported by Deadspin, sparked concern. Where was the blood coming from? What does this signify for the Browns? There’s an NFL player with the same name as the character in a 1990s Nickelodeon TV series?

Alas, the blood apparently came from quarterback Brandon Weeden’s hand, which sustained a cut during the game.

Mack, 26, had bigger problems than his bloody pants Thursday, as his Cleveland Browns fell to the Ravens 23-16.

The center, now in his fourth NFL season, played in the Pro Bowl in 2011 – and even scored a touchdown in the game on a lateral.
