Grab RG3 in Tampa tilt

The Wildcat

Including the 1997-2011 seasons in The Post, Cat’s record in print stands at 454-393 (53.6 percent) against the spread.

TOMORROW

SOUTH FLORIDA (+17) against Florida State: Cat’s well-aware the ’Noles are back. But the world knows it, and public (led on by multiple big-rep “wise guys”) went over the cliff when FSU failed to cover inflated number against Clemson. Embrace value on the house side with underrated Skip Holtz-coached program, seeking redemption off loss to Ball State and long stellar in the underdog role. South Florida (+17), likely finding success by slowing down the pace in this one, for one unit.

SUNDAY

Redskins (+2 1/2) over BUCCANEERS: Each side projects to wreak considerable havoc with respective opposing quarterbacks seeking comfort in the pocket. But Robert Griffin III is likely a greater threat in full scramble mode than is Josh Freeman, and not crazy about Buc defense’s ability to consistently contain outside sorties by the ’Skins. It remains tough to make case for Tampa when laying points to virtually any foe, and Washington’s better than it appeared vs. the Bengals. ’Skins (+2¹/₂) surprise, for one unit.

LAST WEEK: 2-0. Bengals (plus one unit). Cardinals (plus one unit).

SEASON: 3-3.
