Lady Gaga responds to SI politician’s ‘slut’ remark

Lady Gaga is fighting back.

Days after a Staten Island politican called the entertainer a “slut,” Gaga took to Twitter to thank another politican who later defended her.

“thanku for your support of my activism as a new yorker,” she wrote to Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer. “You show political integrity + a modern vernacular.”

Staten Island Borough President James Molinaro made the “slut” remark Monday during an anti-substance abuse event, pointing to photos of the singer lighting what appears to be a marijuana cigarettes at an Amsterdam concert last week.

Stringer defended Gaga in an interview with the New York Observer’s Politicker website, saying Lady Gaga “is a social justice activist and a real leader for marriage equality in this country.”
