Julian Fellowes is already planning a “Downton Abbey” prequel.
The Oscar-winning “Downton” creator said he is writing about the courtship of the Earl of Grantham and his American wife, Cora, according to the BBC Web site.
The couple is played by Hugh Bonneville and Elizabeth McGovern in the hit Masterpiece Classic period drama, but would be played by younger actors in a spin-off.
Fellowes has no plans to broadcast a prequel while “Downton Abbey” is still on the air.
“For me, any other books or plays or films should follow after the end of the television show,” he said.
