Bronx DA’s shameful shirking

The Issue: Bronx DA Robert Johnson’s refusing to prosecute almost a quarter of arrests made last year.

Bronx District Attorney Robert Johnson’s résumé fits US Attorney General Eric Holder’s model of injustice (“Johnson’s Criminal Record,” Editorial, Sept. 28).

Perhaps Johnson would be better suited working for Holder’s dysfunctional Justice Department.

He could refuse to prosecute criminals and be protected by an equally dysfunctional Obama administration.

After all, birds of a feather stick together.

As bad as Johnson’s conviction record is — even taking into account the number of crimes he refuses to prosecute — I bet he gets re-elected when the time comes.

That’s how bad things are in New York City, and The Bronx in particular.

You want to be a politician in New York? Be a Democrat, and then turn the law upside down.
