A plan to expand an Upper West Side historic district got a green light yesterday from the City Council’s Landmarks subcommittee.
The expanded district, from 79th to 87th streets, Riverside Drive to Broadway, is likely to get full council approval.
“We want anybody who lives there, who walks down it, to feel like they’re part of history,” said Councilwoman Gale Brewer, who represents the district.
